This is actually screwed up as I submitted my original 24 strip package in October of 2006, but I posted these on the dates they ran in the local newspaper. So I had to make this post fit in the timeline and here it is.

But at least there will be no more “Included/Not Included in original submission” taglines.

A few words of thanks

Friday, October 17th, 2008

Thank you.

Guess that was only a couple of words. Anywho…

Every now and then when I’m feeling a little down on my lack of reaching fans, I get uplifted by some things my fellow creators have done for me, or by seeing someone take the time to read most of my comics.  Thanks to StatTracker for making these things known to me.  Today I had few such experiences, so:

Thank you, Worth Gowell, creator of “Small Wonder”, for putting “pd” in your list of comics you regularly read. I noticed a link I’ve never seen before coming from your site. And I always appreciate your Looney Tunes-esque artistic style.

Thank you, Lucas Turnbloom, creator of “Imagine This”, for the shout out (and permission) for using Dewey on Spence’s shirt today. The swapping of links lead to double my views so far today. Death to McSquiggles!

Thank you, fan from White Horse, Yukon Territory, Canada, for apparently viewing all of my archives yesterday after following a link from Irma’s strip “Imy”. I assume you must have liked it to go through that many pages. Drop me a comment and I’ll send you a print of your favorite!

This being the first such posting of thanks, I should probably include many more so they don’t feel left out, especially those from the beginning for their help and inspiration getting started: Super-Fans Teresa and Tom L., the aforementioned Imra and the ex-Panel Mammals, Wit, Jarrett, Jim, Scott and Worth, all of which are listed in my Recommended Reading sidebar (except Jarrett, cuz he’s taking too long to get his new comic “Some Day Hero” off the ground). Thanks everyone!

Hope this becomes a habit

Seems I gave an appreciative shout-out a little too soon. As soon as I thanked Jane Doe (a.k.a. Cindi O.) from Canada for perusing my comic archives, seems it’s become the trendy thing to do. Thanks to readers from Columbus OH, Knoxville TN, Fletcher NC, and Long Beach CA for doing the same. If you’re still reading, drop me a line through my “contact me!” page and I’ll send you something nice.

More “Thank Yous”!

WOW! My guest strip over at led to a lot of archive viewing. So much so that my site counter kept filling up and I lost a lot of visitor stats. But of the ones I can see, much thanks to readers in Lafayette IN, Minneapolis MN, Holzkirchen Bayern Germany, Shrewsbury MA (Mike Birbiglia?), and Bournemouth UK for taking a lot of time to really check out my archives and read a most (if not all) of my strips. Drop me a line through the “contact me!” link and let me know what you think!

Guest Comic @ Imy!

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Irma from invited me to submit a guest comic to help her fill in this week and I did and it posted yesterday. Not only that, but the site traffic went up like a google percent! Anyway, I think it turned out pretty good, she liked it so did most of her fans who took the time to comment. Check it out and if you haven’t heard of it, check out Imy. It’s been one of my favorites since I started reading webcomics.

No new comic today…

…just got too busy this weekend and didn’t want to force something I, or you, wouldn’t be happy with. New strip Wednesday!

Reader Challenge

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

It’s time to submit to the syndicates (actually, one of them has been waiting for another submission for a year)! I know a lot of new readers have recently gone through all the archives, and it’s greatly appreciated. I should have asked this sooner, but if anyone’s up to doing it again, I would love to know what you guys consider the best strips. Pick your favorite, your top 10, rate them all with a giggleometer, or list the ones that were royal stinkeroos. Whatever floats your boat. Just ignore the first 30 as they were already submitted the first time around. Another thing, many of my storylines run in threes for my weekly publishing schedule and I need a few Sunday comics, so I thought I’d take some of the weaker 3-parters and turn them into Sunday strips, so if you happen on any of those, let me know. I’ll reward anyone willing to help me on this, but I don’t know how yet. Thanks!

Change site look?

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Whaddya think, folks? I have been considering changing the header to include the new look of Marisol, which would probably require another shot of Cassidy, as she’s the star and all. I also considered changing the header monthly with the seasons/holidays. And I thought about making the white background a light version of the purple or teal colors currently used in order to make the b&w comics stand out, but for the time being they’re being colored so that may be unnecessary.  Since this site is for you readers, I figured I’d check what you think. Mostly all I can easily putz with is header and colors. So if you have an opinion, let me know. If you want me to leave it alone, shove it up your–whoops, sorry, uh, let me know that too.

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

Down for 36 hours on a posting day? No problem! I was almost ready to scrap staying up late to finish a new strip for Friday but now that I cursed the internet deities for their duh!-ness, they chose to bring my site back early enough to force the issue. Guess I shoulda swore at them sooner. No sleep tonight! Enjoy!!!

Another round of “thanks”.

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

I’ve been keeping track of more visitors who take the time to view a majority of the archives and I’d like to give a shout out to fans in Kent, WA; Montreal Quebec Canada; Tempe, AZ; and New Haven, CT. Drop me a line if you’d like a signed print for your efforts. Teresa, I owe you one (or more) too!
